Parting is such sweet sorrow...

  Kathi Macias here, checking in for the last time on this wonderful blog to turn over the reigns to some fresh faces with some fresh ideas--which we all need, yes? Between marketing my newest release, Beyond Me, and getting ready to launch three more books in early 2009 (plus write the four under contract!), I knew it was time to cut some strings and let someone else take the baton. I, for one, am looking forward to the new ideas that will be generated as a result. So for now, beloved readers and fellow scribes, adios and vaya con Dios!

(Sound like a travel ad?) Seriously, this has to be one of the loveliest speaking venues I've ever had the privilege to attend, let alone be the keynote speaker, so I'm looking forward to the "beyond me writing" weekend!

All the Little Things

Kathi Macias here, just checking in to say I'm still running as fast as I can--and praying I'm making progress along the way! Seriously, I know I'm not alone in that feeling, and though having company does make the running somewhat easier and more enjoyable, it doesn't necessarily guarantee success, does it? And yet...I get up each morning, put on my running shoes, and take off again! So what is it I expect to find along the way? As my marketing guru friend Jan Coates is so famous for saying, "It's not the one big thing that makes the difference, but all the little things...."
